Edison Bulb Church Stage Design

Edison light bulbs retroactively referred to as antique light bulbs and vintage light bulbs refer to carbon or early tungsten filament light bulbs or modern bulbs reproducing their appearance most of these bulbs are reproductions of the wound filament bulbs made popular by edison electric light company at the turn of the 20th century.

They are easily identified by the long and complicated. We used a template to space and drill the holes stained the front with espresso stain added standard sockets and wired the back. Originally posted july 2012 they started with 200 lightbulbs on the stage. As it turns out it gives a really soft glow on stage.

The base or socket on this 19th century lamp is similar to the ones still used today. The inspiration for this set came from some cool live band sets they ve seen around the web vertical church band bon iver etc where bulbs were attached to pipes and arranged at various depths around the stage and band members. Plus we have limited power and were concerned with popping circuits. So we scaled the heart up to the size we wanted in order to fill the stage which ended up being about 14 feet tall.

The edison lamp from our attic is dated january 27 1880. Even though it is over a hundred years old this bulb looks very much like the light bulbs lighting your house right now. Jan 8 2016 our edison bulb wall looks great with bronze draping to give your event a cozy feeling. It is a product of the continued improvements edison made to the 1879 bulb.

We went with edison bulbs for a vintage look and more of a warm amber hue. Tea lights fit perfectly into the 1 5 holes you drill in.
