For a dryer that produces heat but not enough of it or shuts off because it gets too hot first check and clean the lint trap to make sure it isn t clogged with lint.
Electric current flowing through the coil creates heat and the air being pulled through the chamber absorbs this heat.
If only one of the lines is working the dryer will run but not heat up.
The circuit breaker could have partially tripped even if it does not look as though it has.

The problem was not with the dryer but the electric wire the voltages were not enough to heat up the element.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem is.
I figured this out when old one with absolutely no problem was gone.
The dryer should be on a separate 208v 240v electrical outlet.
