Elliptical Wheels Squeaking

Elliptical wheels squeaking.

It starting squeaking where the pedal arm contacts the pedal arm roller just as the roller reaches its forward limit of travel and starts changing direction to g. It is only very new and put together and greased down properly. As it happens the squeaking noise was caused by dust collecting in the back part of my machine where the belt meets the wheels. It is so loud it makes the workout very annoying even with music playing.

Lack of lubrication on pivot points can cause the elliptical to make squeaking noises. I love it and it was great for two weeks this week the third week we have had it it has developed a loud annoying squeak. Three weeks ago we purchased an elliptical the nordictrack 9 5. Apply a thin coat of all purpose grease to pivot points on the pedal arms and handle bars to eliminate squeaks. Are they rubber wheels or are they made of plastic. Keep the machine clean and free of any debris by vacuuming around the moving parts and wiping the machine down with a clean cotton cloth. Where is the squeak coming from.

It sounds like it is coming from beneath the pedals. Lubricate all moving parts during routine maintenance to prevent squeaks. Be sure to clean off the rails before spraying anything on it. Regular maintenance of your elliptical is necessary to extend the life of your machine and allow it to continue to function properly.

Make sure that you clean the ramp before each lubrication with a dry clean cloth. It has a metal runner that slides over plastic wheels that have a texture or tread on them. These repairs may help solve your elliptical machine problem. The plastic wheels seem to be causing the squeaking.

If it s coming from the wheels you have a few options. Cleaned wheels and track repeatedly with damp microfiber. Not sure what to do. Is it coming from the wheels or from the gear mechanism.
